Nutty Choco Chip Vanilla Cake

Hi friends , day before yesterday was my hubby's birthday .Actually every year i used to buy cake from outside but this time as i am learning to bake so i decide to prepare .i made a simple yummy cake without icing which i have to learn , which will take some time to start, but what ever may be he was very happy with this attempt n we celebarated the birthday :)

Ingredients:
  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Cooking Procedure:

Preheat oven to 350°F

In an bowl combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.

In small bowl, whisk together egg and vanilla.

Make 2 small wells in the flour mixture; pour oil in one and egg and vanilla mixture in other. Add milk, stir until well mixed.

Add walnuts n stir it nicely.

Pour the cake batter in a 8x4 inch bread loaf pan and shake / tap it to release the air.

Bake at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes, or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.

Sprinkle chocolate chips on warm cake, it will melt n fuse with cake.

Your nutty choco chip vanilla cake is ready.

Belated birthday wishes for your Hubby Mr Srini right??? The cake is amazing if you r doin it for the 1st time :) Baking is fun and easy (though overbaked and underbaked is quite usual thing to happen even with any perfect baker :( ) No harm in learning it slowly and carefully. Have fun baking. Again Cake looks so yummy with all the choco chips :)
