Masala Pav (T&T)

The moment i saw this recipe in Sayalis blog i bookmarked and prepared it, it came out very well , the speciality of this masala pav, it is like pav bhajji but without potatoes !! We enjoyed it very much and it is very light on the stomach and easy to pack too. I am sure u will enjoy it.

Cooking Time: 45 min
Serves 2

Ingredients:
  • 6 bread buns
  • 1/2 cup chopped tomato
  • 1/2 cup chopped onions
  • 1/2 cup chopped bell pepper
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/4 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/2 coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tbsp pav bhaji masala
  • 1 tsp butter (optional for vegans)
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1/8 tsp sugar
  • salt to taste

For puree:
  • 1/4 cup diced tomato
  • 3 garlic cloves

For garnishing
  • chopped cilantro
  • chopped onions
Cooking Procedure:

Heat oil in a pan ,add onions,turmeric powder,bell pepper n saute till onion become soft.

Add tomatos, puree of tomato n garlic n let it fry till tomato become soft ,then add all powders,sugar and salt n stir .Let it cook for 1 min n your masala is ready and keep it aside.

Cut all the the pav horizontaly into two pieces,apply butter on the inner side and toast it lightly.


Heat another pan ,take some masala n saute it a while,then immediately spread this masala in between the two pavs sprinkle some onions and cilantro n close it .

Toast both the sides till light golden brown ,your masala pav ready .

This recipe goes to 2 tried and tasted events
